Vietnam Summer School of Science 2017

ABOUT US

Established in 2013, Vietnam Summer School of Science is an annual, free and non-profit activity under an initiative to inspire younger generations pursuing research. Throughout the schools, participants will be equipped with basic knowledge about science, research and integrity toward contributing to the development of Vietnam.

SCHOOL 2013

The first summer school, namely “Science Companion”, ran within two days 5-6 August 2013 under the host of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. 80 students attended along with 8 lectures were delivered.

SCHOOL 2014

The second summer school named “All Roads Lead to Science” was held within 3 days (20th, 21st and 22nd) of August 2014 under the host of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. There are 230 students undertaking 15 lectures.

SCHOOL 2015

The third summer school entitled “Science In a Nutshell” was organized for 3 days (24th, 25th and 26th) August 2015 under the support of Alpha School. 180 students participated 16 lectures.

SCHOOL 2017

The fifth summer school named “Fires of Science” will be organized for 3 days (5th, 6th and 7th) July 2017 as an activity of Rencontres du Vietnam Foundation and hosted by Quy Nhon University. There will be 150 seats for most excellent students nationwide.

SCHOOL 2016

The fourth summer school themed “Rencontres of Young Researchers” was organized for 3 days (26th, 27th and 28th) July 2016 under the support of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, VSL and Rencontres du Vietnam Foundation. More than 200 students participated in 16 lectures.

SCHOOL 2018

The venue and date/time next summer schools (2018 and beyond) will be decided and informed shortly.
